Book of Ra tricks that really work

Hopefully, with the explanations above, we have made it clear that any Book of Ra tricks you see on web pages, in storybooks or in videos will not work. However, in the past there have been real and proven cases where criminals, hackers and scammers have successfully manipulated slot machines. We have already introduced a few of these cases on the page Slot Machines Tricks - Myth or Truth. For example, the case where criminals hacked Cryptologic's online slots.

And even the cases

So go, will you say now? Yes, yes. But not with publicly available tricks from the net. The vulnerability in Cryptologic, for example, was only open for a few hours. This time was enough for the hackers to do six-digit damage. It was also enough for the programmers to fix the software bug. That you find a working Book of Ra trick for online slot machines on the net, is therefore virtually impossible. Even if there are exploits, they are closed no later than the moment the tip was posted online. Before, the hacker had certainly better things to do than to write instructions for his insider tip to ruin it.

Casinomafia tricked randomizer

And even the cases in which slot machines were cracked in the casino, in the Merkur Spielothek or in the Novoline arcades of Löwen Entertainment are not reproducible by simple means. A good example is the following story of the Russian Casinomafia from St. Petersburg. It shows how much effort one has to operate in order to deal with the vending companies.

Casinomafia tricked randomizer

The story that the English-language Wired Magazine first reported in February 2017 is that of a Russian hacker and number genius. In May 2017, Wired released yet another story with even more details after the editor actually did an interview with hacker Alex. Who can read English texts, we can really read this story to the heart. For all the others, we summarize them here.

For months analyzed the Novomatic PRNG

The hacker Alex is by his own admission former mathematician and programmer. After working for the secret service for a while, he was recruited by a Russian casino. His mission: To manipulate the software of the Novomatic slot machines so that they pay only 50% of the stakes back to the players instead of the standard 90%. He dealt intensively with the PRNG of Novomatic automata. PRNG stands for Pseudo Random Number Generator. A system that works and should look like a random number generator (RNG) - but is not a real random number generator. The system is so complex that it took the hacker six months to see through the otherwise inscrutable system. The PRNG is based on a seed, a base number, which is then mixed with many other variables.

Hacker app vibrates at exactly the right moment

In 2008, Alex founded his own small business with his newfound knowledge. He hired a team to exploit Novomatic slot machines in casinos - initially he was active in Russia and Eastern Europe. In 2009, the casino game became illegal in Russia and thousands of casinos had to close. That night, the hacker managed to buy a discarded Aristocrat Mark VI vending machine from a casino. He set to work to crack this PRNG as well. And a little later, they sent in teams that, among other things, also cracked the games in the USA with the following trick: First, the player in the casino filmed a longer session of about two dozen spins. The video he sent online to Russia. The team in St. Petersburg fed the hardware with the results of the demo spin and was thus able to decrypt the secret code. With the knowledge of the internal timestamp of the machine, it was now possible to predict the right time for a successful spin. A special app was remotely programmed so that the phone vibrated at the exact moment the player had to press.

$ 250,000 captured in a week

A four-man team was able to capture $ 250,000 in one week in this way. The hacker Alex emphasizes that this type of manipulation is not really illegal. Because nothing is changed at the machine. The mathematics genius has just found a way to predict the game results. However, at least in some Länder and federal states, legislators see this differently. Among other things in the US state of Missouri, where three of the helpers were caught in 2014 and sentenced to prison terms. In 2016, a Czech and two Russians were caught in Singapore after a similar offense. This suggests that smart crooks continue to be on the Russian market.

What do we learn from this? At least the slot machines in casinos and gambling halls can be outsmarted. But the effort is immense. Press ten times and increase the limit - this is simply not enough. It takes a good dose of genius to decipher the algorithm. And even the Russian mafia has failed to go undetected with its sophisticated system.

Incidentally, in an interview with Wired, Alex actually thinks about publishing his software and how he works on the internet. If that happened, anyone could use a smartphone to turn a slot machine into a cute flashing ATM. "This would upset the entire vending industry," he says. And he's certainly right - it would only be a matter of time until casinos or arcades close, or at least ban machines completely from the offer.

Cases from Germany

In Germany, too, there have been several cases in recent years involving manipulated novoline vending machines. Some are judicial, others are so far only rumors or now anyway barred.

The case Ali T.

In the case of Ali T., there were more than five years in prison for the defendant. In November 2015, the district court of Essen condemned the Turkish gambler, who himself was also an arcade operator. He is said to have manipulated hundreds of machines in the gaming halls of Casino Royale together with accomplices and captured almost 2 million euros. The explosive: Apparently, Ali T. use his knowledge also to blackmail the slot machine manufacturer Gauselmann and Novomatic or play off against each other. Through consultancy contracts, he is said to have earned 10 million euros. According to the news magazine Der Spiegel, Ali T. has worked with Paul Gauselmann since the 1980s. Whether it was a matter of manipulating the vending machines of the Novomatic competition has not been proven. Apparently T. but sometime changed the pages and later worked for Novomatic.

Rumors of manipulated lion automatons

In 2016 rumors became public that Löwen machines were manipulated by the manufacturer. Among other things, the economy week reported that the gambling hall operator Roland Grüber suspects that Löwen Entertainment would want to free clubs with unfair methods to push out of the market. His observation: Löwen machines like Book of Ra have been making less and less profit since 2011. His charge: Löwen uses in the machine illegal software, "which manipulates the frequency of the payment." In Löwen Play arcades everything would work quite normally. For the freelancers, who do not tie themselves to Löwen Entertainment, that would be a real disadvantage, because they make less profit while Löwen Play gambling halls as usual record revenue.

The legal dispute between Roland Grüber and Löwen has been going on for a while. There is no judgment yet. If the suspicion is confirmed, that would mean for you as a player: You should avoid Löwen Play arcades and gamble instead in free play shops.

Are there any serious Book of Ra strategies?

So what is our conclusion? Is there no point in dealing with Book of Ra Tricks? Or, in the end, there is a strategy that promises success. Our verdict is clear: All Book of Ra tricks you find on the net are fake. Their only goal is to pull the money out of your pocket. So do not let yourself be told, you would make rookie mistakes. Please do not think that you can end a losing streak by increasing your stakes - in the worst case, this leads to total loss. Profit strands and bad luck are pure coincidence. And a payout does not come when you press a specific key combination, but when the random number generator decides it. Who wants to manipulate this, which starts a hopeless endeavor, because the statistical payout ratio is designed in machine games in principle, that the casino wins.

Well, there are some strategies that you can use to play longer or limit your losses. These not only apply to Book of Ra but to all slot machines. Among other things, it is about money management, prudent playing, the selection of slots with a high payout ratio or a critical look at the casino bonus and the terms and conditions. We summarized them in our previous blog post on reputable slot machine strategies.

In general, one can say: Always keep in mind that you will normally lose in the online casino or in the games library. And if you play online, before signing up and depositing, check if the casino has a good reputation and has fair trading conditions. In our tests we go into these points in detail. An overview of the best real money casinos can be found here.

Alternative without risk: Book of Ra in play money mode

Now that we have shown you that Novoline slot machine tricks do not work, you may be wondering how you can enjoy gameplay without the risk of total loss. The answer is simple: Play Book of Ra in playmoney mode. After Novomatic has completely withdrawn from the German gambling market, Stargames has been converted into a pure Spielgeldcasino. You can play there only in play money mode and you do not have to risk any money of your own. On the other hand, then brings you of course, even the most beautiful winning streak, because who plays with Spiegeld, can only win play money.

About Book of Ra

Book of Ra is probably the best-known slot machine classic from Novomatic. The game is well-known from gaming arcades like Löwen Play, but can also be played online in many versions. The Slots.Express team has tested all the major releases, including the 6-reel and the Jackpot Editions. Other classics from Novoline are Lucky Ladys Charm and Sizzling Hot. The three most important Novoline classics you could play in the past directly on our site for free. Unfortunately this has not been possible since the end of Stargames as a real money casino. Unfortunately, most other online casinos with Book of Ra (see below) are no longer an option for customers from Germany. If you live in another country, you can still play the slot machine for real money.
